Supporting Climeaction’s Growth with a Scalable Digital Platform

Overview

Climeaction is a leader in climate solutions, helping organisations reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency and drive long-term cost savings.

Working primarily with industrial and manufacturing businesses, they combine advisory expertise, project delivery and software solutions to support clients in achieving their decarbonisation goals.

The Brief

Following a management buy-out, Climeaction was entering a new phase of growth. The business had ambitious plans to scale rapidly, including expanding into international markets such as the United States. However, their existing digital presence and marketing infrastructure were not aligned with these ambitions.

Key challenges included a lack of clear positioning in a competitive and evolving market, a website that did not reflect the scale or expertise of the organisation, limited support for thought leadership and content strategy and a brand and digital platform that needed to resonate with a broader, international audience

To support their next phase of growth, Climeaction required a more cohesive and scalable digital foundation.

The Process

The project began with a comprehensive marketing audit to identify gaps, opportunities and priorities by our partner agency Dardis & Dog. This initial phase helped define a clear strategic direction for the brand and digital platform. Framework Design was brought in as part of a wider specialist team to lead the redesign and redevelopment of the website.

Our focus was on creating a platform that could clearly communicate Climeaction’s value and expertise, support marketing and thought leadership initiatives, provide a scalable structure for future growth anddeliver a more intuitive and engaging user experience

We began with a full audit of the existing website to identify areas where users were encountering friction and where improvements could be made. Using UX testing and behavioural insights, we redesigned key user journeys to simplify navigation and create clearer pathways through the site. This helped remove unnecessary complexity and made it easier for visitors to find relevant information.

To support internal teams, we developed a series of brand-aligned templates and introduced improved content management processes. This made it easier to create, update and maintain content consistently across the platform.

We then restructured the site’s content architecture, ensuring information was organised in a more logical and user-focused way. The updated brand identity — including visual elements, colour system and design guidelines — was applied throughout, resulting in a more cohesive and professional experience.

The Result

The result is a modern, scalable digital platform that better reflects Climeaction’s position as a leader in climate action. It showcases a clearer and more compelling presentation of services and expertise including:

  • Simplified user journeys that improve navigation and engagement
  • A consistent, brand-aligned design across the entire platform
  • Improved content management processes for internal teams
  • Seamless integration with external systems and services

The new platform provides a strong foundation for Climeaction’s continued growth and international expansion. Early and expected outcomes include improved user engagement through clearer messaging and navigation, stronger positioning within a competitive global market, increased efficiency for internal teams, enabling faster content updates, better support for marketing and thought leadership initiatives and a scalable platform capable of evolving alongside the business

Most importantly, the website now supports Climeaction’s strategic goals — acting as a key tool for growth rather than simply an online presence.
