LA College of Creative Arts

Overview

LA College of Creative Arts is at the forefront of providing academic training and professional creativity across three college locations in Dublin, London and Los Angeles.

Originally focusing solely on make-up artistry training, trading as LA Make-Up Academy, the college now offers a wide range of internationally accredited full and part-time courses in textile design, hair-styling, millinery, photography, fashion marketing, beauty therapy, brand management, fashion styling and design.

LA College had a challenge of marketing their unique educational services in the arts to an international audience in a creative and engaging manner. Targeting students throughout the world to attend their courses in Dublin, London & LA, they needed to become the leading college choice for creative courses and services, whilst competing both professionally & creatively in three major international markets.

The site also needed to establish trust & credibility early to encourage online payment/booking for courses.

Detail

Our first challenge was to categorise the courses, both long and short-term into clearly defined channels to enhance usability. We also created clear channels for prospective students, international students and parents.

It became clear that as the courses were so creative, it would be necessary to include some visual elements to the site. We would also need to introduce a strong social media current as the target markets were already engaging via these mediums.

The new site demonstrates the scope of their course & service offerings & incorporates their international locations, defining LA Creative as the leading provider of creative solutions in their field.

It is not just a prospectus for the college courses, but students can also book the course online or pay for the course in full. With the facility to choose from a wide selection of long & short term courses in varying creative fields, the site is visually enticing whilst also establishing trust. The introduction of image galleries and video to enhance course descriptions, coupled with a strong social media connection appeals to the target market as it provides exciting content in a medium they are currently already engaging with.
